Nehren

Römergräber in Nehren

With official records dating back to the year 634, Nehren is one of the oldest places in the Moselle area.

The Roman graves that are located high up in the vineyards bear witness to its Roman past. They are just a short walk away from the town along the Roman grave cultural trail “Römergräber” (Roman graves).

Along the trail you will also come across an original Roman wine-press stone and a small church in late gothic style dating from the 16th century, which is well worth seeing. The idyllic village also has good hiking paths, a Nordic walking trail, water sports and fishing on the Moselle.
